There is more of a community and local climate in Alicante. Alicante is also well served by allocation airlines and its own airport. The marina is also nice and the weather tends often to be very pleasant this far south in Spain.

4. Santander is not everyone's first idea when thinking of a place to stay in Spain, particularly with its location on the Northern coast of Spain. Santander though is served with a ferry from the Uk leaving from Plymouth, Devon and Santander offers the opportunity for you to see a different part of Spain culturally.

5. Madrid is an interesting city and as the capital of Spain, there is always a lot going on and abundance to do. There are some fabulous galleries and museums and there can be no better place to try Spanish food than in the capital.
